Opportunities To Reflect
2 Quarters left. 25 Weeks. It was time to start getting ready to wrap up my college journey. After 3 and a half years, it was time to look towards the end and to reflect on how I had grown and changed. Winter Quarter, I was given two opportunities to do so.
The first was, well, Honors 496. Even though I had been updating my portfolio regularly, this class was the chance to dive deeper into each quarter and reflect on the progress I made. I took the reflection a step further and tied these pieces together to form a story to present at the Capstone Presentation at the end of the quarter. The second was LEAD 495, the Husky Leadership Certificate. Throughout my time at UW, I held a lot of different leadership positions, both officially and unofficially. As a busy student, I never had time to reflect on the impact those different positions had, so this class provided valuable reflective time (and time with a mentor) to connect the positions to not only each other, but how I have grown as a person and leader.

My Last Seattle Snow? With the idea of moving to DC sometime this year, I realized that the snowfall in February might have been my last major snowfall in Seattle for a while. Needless to say, I took full advantage of it :) From hours of just staring out the window to intense snowball fights, it was a snowfall to remember.
There was a point where we thought it was going to barely snow, and the next thing you know, its falling faster than we could walk in it! When I went out the next morning, there was a good 6-7 inches on the ground! |
