"Snowmageddon"Snow + Seattle = DisasterIn the last 15 years, UW has only closed campus a few times for snow.
In February, we closed for 4 and a half... While this may seem exciting and fun (which it was in some ways), it also caused a lot of stress. This kept pushing my midterms back so I would never truly enjoy the snow. Instead, I was forced to study, stressing if my midterm was actually happening the next day. Yet it also gave me a few days to not have to worry about going to classes, giving me more time to do my work and get everything I needed done. Even the word of a storm freaks people out here. 1. No one can drive in snow 2. QFC looked like an apocalypse hit (There was 1 pack of spaghetti left) 3. People do not know how to de-ice |
