Discovering New Experiences
As I discovered during Autumn Quarter, college is not only about classes. It is about making my time here worth it and growing as an overall person. Yes, it includes grades and a degree, but that is a small percent of it. A lot of other things occur during our time here, and it is important to try new experiences. This quarter, based on how my classes and homework schedule worked out, my time was a lot more spread out, meaning I had spare time to try new things. I got a lot more free time, time where I went to some of the activities put on throughout campus, including the Yule Ball (by the Harry Potter club), American Indiot (by ISA), and most commonly, my roommate and I going to Area 01 and playing Pool and Mario Kart 8. I also got more time to work on my photography.
Apps, Interviews, and....
More Apps!
Winter Quarter is when most of the opportunities for next year (and Spring Quarter) open up. Being who I am, as someone who loves volunteering and working with others, I applied to quite a few positions. This meant I had a lot of applications to fill it (it almost reminded me of college apps). Due to my different interests, I ended up applying to five different positions, ranging from Spring Quarter Housing Tour Guide to Summer Orientation Leader and even applying to be an RA next year.

Academic Successes
After what seemed to be a rough Autumn Quarter, I finally thought I found my footing and was able to preform better academically. Specifically, I took 4 classes that I was highly interested in, so I enjoyed my class time more, allowing me to learn better. I also got a chance to meet a lot of great people, especially in the Special Topics in CSE class. I got a chance to start my Political Science minor, taking a class on how the US Presidency has evolved over time. As someone who also loves history, this was a great combination and I got to learn a lot about the highest office in the US.
